Birds of Prey Schools - Read Poster
Spend 40 hours with our Master Falconer and learn the basic of the amazing sport of Falconry. During a week long or a 2 – weekend course you will learn in detail; bird identification and behaviour, bird health care, housing, equipment needs including perches, aviaries, lures and leatherwork, diet requirements, handling a bird on the fist and in the field, and flight training.

Getaway Packages with Wye Marsh & Local Bed and Breakfasts

Stars in Birds of Prey Program
Wye Marsh has many new Birds on site that are now part of the Birds of Prey Program! The Program continues to grow with sponsorship and revenues earned. All birds are born and raised in captivity for educational purposes. You can sponsor a bird, a flight cage, equipment, food. When you sponsor a bird you get to name it, receive a Wye Marsh membership, an opportunity to work with a Wye Marsh Falconer to fly the bird, and a plaque posted on the birds flight pen. The "Birds of Prey" Show is Great Family Entertainment!
Visitors will experience spectacular birds of prey in action. The Raptors are handled by Wye Marsh staff with assistance from Matt Lieberknecht. Flight demonstrations are both educational and entertaining. These shows are enjoyable and fascinating for groups of all ages and interests. Birds of Prey are introduced and flown in simulated hunting, and represent a variety of different family groups. For an up close and personal look at birds of prey come and enjoy the Birds of Prey Show every Sunday!
