Wye Marsh, and its interpretive centre, sits on a 3,000-acre wildlife area situated in an environmentally endowed location in southern Georgian Bay. The Friends of Wye Marsh, a not-for-profit organization, has stewardship responsibility for this property that is anchored by its interpretive centre. They are committed to connecting people to nature and promoting an understanding of the vital role wetlands play within the environment. The Friends of the Wye Marsh are committed to preserving the Wye Marsh and the natural heritage of the Wye Valley while providing low impact educational, recreational and research opportunities to benefit present and future generations.

Wye Marsh is the non profit business that manages the following:
- Operations of the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, an interpretive centre owned by Environment Canada on a National Wildlife Area leased by Wye Marsh
- Management of the Wye Valley, a 3000 acre parcel of land owned by the Ontario Government as a Provincial Wildlife Area
- Birds of Prey/Falconry operations at a property on Old Fort Road, Midland
- Wye Marsh Comes to You, a very popular offsite program
Wye Marsh Mission Statement:
“To spark a commitment to conserving wetlands, woodlands and wildlife by creating exciting learning opportunities in a natural setting”
The Wye Marsh is a non-profit organization, with funding raised through donations, grants, sponsorship, membership and admissions.
