How YOU can help the Wye Marsh

The Wye Marsh serves the community by conserving an ecologically significant wetland that is a filter for the Georgian Bay watershed and home to fourteen threatened and endangered species that live here. We provide winter water access and food for Trumpeter Swans and educate the public about the history of the Wye Marsh and its importance as a natural resource.

As a non-profit organization the Wye Marsh relies on the community in order to provide these services. In fact, we are funded largely by our membership, our partners, and public donations. We are also supported by over 400 volunteers throughout the year. The Wye Marsh needs your help!

There are many ways in which you can become involved in ensuring that an ecological jewel does not fall into the category of 70 % of Canadian wetlands that have disappeared due to environmental stressors such as land development, upstream runoff and invasive species.
