“Ultimate Survival Game” – Science & Technology: Life Systems
– Health & Physical Lifestyle – Active Participation

This half day game demonstrates the interaction of predator and prey species. Students will take on the role of carnivore, omnivore or herbivore and will be challenged to obtain their specific survival needs.

“Orienteering” - Mathematics – Geometry and Spatial Sense & Patterning and Algebra

This half day activity uses compass and map skills along nature and marsh trails.

We offer guided canoe rides in our 24-foot voyageur style canoes through the channels of the marsh. Our “Marsh Life by Canoe” program focuses on wildlife that call the marsh home while our “Canadian History by Canoe” program focuses on the importance of the canoe and its role in the discovery of Canada. Both programs involve a one-hour land component and one-hour canoe ride. All life jackets, canoes, paddles and safety equipment is provided. Each Wye Marsh educator is ORCA (Ontario Recreational Canoe Association) certified.
