Visit the Wye Marsh Escape, Explore, Experience the Wye Marsh Situated on approximately 3000 acres of natural property in the beautiful Wye Valley it is that perfect place for a family or group outing. With over 25 km of hiking/skiing trails, canoe/kayak routes, an observation tower and boardwalks, visitors can get closer to nature. There is a lot to see and do at the Wye Marsh in all seasons. In spring, experience the annual frog chorus, a chickadee feeding from your hand, maple syrup production or the Trumpeter Swans visiting the Marsh. In summer, explore when you paddle through the marsh to view turtles sunning themselves or "dip-net" for water creatures in the Marsh. Escape to the tranquil snow covered beauty of winter on snowshoes or cross-country skis. The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is a not-for-profit, year round environmental awareness facility. There is always a Naturalist on hand to discuss the environmental importance of the wetlands, woodlands, and wildlife, answer your questions, and to make sure you have fun! Your visit will support important work to teach, conserve, and steward 3,000 acres protecting the 595 plant and animal species that call the Wye Marsh and Wye Valley home.
