Make a Turtle Nest Protector

While snapping turtles brumate deep in the muck of the marsh - get your fingers busy fashioning “Turtle Nest Protectors” to increase hatchling survival rates this spring.

Designs, tools, materials and guidance provided by Wye Marsh Staff. $35 per kit to be assembled on site by one or more people. (Families welcome.) Space is limited.

Where: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, 16160 Hwy 12 E, Midland

When: Saturday, January 25th, 2025 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm

About the Instructor: 

As our Friends of Wye Marsh Stewardship & Conservation Manager, Craig Pezik is responsible for a wide range of habitat restoration projects, as well as our wildlife monitoring programs. Join Craig for a workshop, and you can benefit from his expertise developed and honed as a Fish & Wildlife Technologist; Intermediate Biologist with Parsons; Environmental Consultant and Sir Sandford Fleming College Instructor.
